Shouldn't be irritated... but I am (small vent)
Ugh. I got an invite to a party for DH that said "DH had a baby and needs some relaxation and refreshment..." and I am so freaking irritated!
#1- DH did not HAVE the baby, I did.
#2- DH has barely been home since she was born (not his fault, but still...) and in no way needs relaxation or refreshment! He's barely had to deal with her at all!!
Where's my party? I'm the one who hasn't been able to drink for 9 months. I'm the one who's home all day taking care of this gorgeous little girl, not DH! HE'S the one who's still golfing and going to rugby practice and just getting out of the house in general!! Seriously?! He needs to relax MORE?!
(P.S.- the guy throwing the party is the a$$hat from the Great Couch Debacle of October, which only irritates me more...)

Okay, I'm glad I'm not being ridiculous! I think it was just the wording of the whole thing... and the fact that I'm invited to a party for DH. WTH?
I remember a$$hat from before....seriously...does he just enjoy pi$$ing you off??
I'd be annoyed too! My DH isn't all that helpful either, and if someone wanted to throw hima party, I'd be incredibly annoyed!

It sounds like he's just being an @sshole. Can you get a babysitter? I'd so go to the party. I'd just show up...unannounced. Seriously...you need a babysitter just to show up to this. Let's start a fund for you!
He is single and childless. And I can't even imagine what he's thinking! I don't know if I should go though, considering I might have to drink and tell him what I really think... or call him Capitan A$$hat!

YES PLEASE!!! It sounds like he wants just any excuse to party. All of DH's friends think that we're gonna have party in the hospital, mainly because my dad is a beer brewer. WRONG! Sorry but I don't want my newborn around a bunch of drunken fools.
