Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Fussy stages...when did they become more content?

I am hoping it is just a phase...but the last 2 weeks DD has been fussy. Isn't as content as often. (she will be 8 weeks on Thursday)

She will lay there for awhile on the floor or in the swing, but then gets bored and starts to cry. When will she start being able to sit and keep herself happy longer.

Do your babies have a fussy streak weeks 6-8? Will it go away soon??? I hope...

  • I'm in the same boat. I hope the fussy streak ends soon.  it's stressing me out.

  • usually they say 3 months is when the digestive system becomes better formed and the baby can soothe themselves better...so usually 3 months is the magic number...but I don't think its a rule :)

I am dealing with the same thing though at week 7.

My older daughter was not quite as fussy as DD2 but DD2 isn't as big of an eater and is tinier than DD1.

  • Ditto! I knew about the six week growth spurt...no one told me the behaviors would continue well into week nine...

  • We've been having more issues the past two weeks as well...fussy, wanting to eat A TON, days of short sleep cycles, days of long sleep cycles, more acid reflux. She's been a hot mess.
