My girlfriend Ms. Britney Spears- aka- a concert near due date?

Alright you guys, I am officially in a crisis. Yes, this is a very important life decision for me to make LOL.   I love love LOVE me some Britney Spears.  I don't care if shes a little crazy and doesn't dance or sing.. I will always love my girl and I go to her tour every time she comes to town.

I need someone to talk some sense into a first time mom who has no idea what she is doing but is trying to learn LOL.  I have been anxiously waiting her tour announcement for like the past two years.  So I'm bored at work and just wonder over to her website and.. the tour is up- YES!

Then I look at the date-  July 22nd. I'm due August 8th.  UGH.  &$%&$%R*#*!!!  Someone tell me that im NOT allowed to buy tickets to this show- right? Im assuming a concert 2 weeks before your due date is a bad idea?  Embarrassed

  • I may not be the best example, but I say go!! I'm a first time mom also and have tickets to a Kenny Chesney concert 2 days before my due date.  If I don't make it, I don't make it and I'm sure I can find someone to buy our tickets.  If I do, it'll be one of the last times we get to spend at a concert for a while and hopefully my lil' cowboy will enjoy the show too Big Smile

I just talked to my best friend and we discussed that- worse case scenario we sell the tickets because someone is always looking to buy them.

Plus, what a story to tell if my water broke at the Britney concert LOL.  (We joked that maybe Britney would get word and visit me at the hospital Stick out tongue )

Well, if im crazy if im crazy at least another mom is crazy right there with me Wink

Hahahaha I swear to GOD I just posted this on my GFs facebook page. She'll be in DC 5 days before my due date and I want to see her!!! LOL, my friend said we can just grab some paper towels and plastic bags in case my water breaks.

FWIW, I wouldn't go. Too close to for my comfort but if you do go, enjoy!

  • I'm going to Kenny Chesney in June and I had U2 tickets for last July but the concert got canceled due to Bono getting injured and is rescheduled for July 14th!  I am just going to play it by ear and if I have to skip it I will but it's U2!!!  I have never gotten to see them live and I can't bear the thought of missing my chance LOLSmile

  • I am having the same issue. I want to go see NKOTB at the end of July and my due date is August 10th. The concert is 2.5 hours away so that is the main issue for me.

  • I say get the tickets. I am getting tickets to her concert as well. I definitely know I can resell them.
  • Funny...I have concert tickets for next week and a few weeks from now and only just read that it's not recommended to go to concerts after around 21 weeks because of baby's hearing and ear development. I'm planning to just go ahead and get my doctors blessing, but I was worried that I might be the only pregnant woman ever who hadn't heard that it's a bad idea. I wondered if I'd get dirty looks, etc. This post is reassuring in that, if my doctor says it's okay, I don't imagine most people have heard it can be a not so great idea.

  • I say it is one last concert before the baby arrives!  Go for it.  You can always sell the tickets if you go into labor early or don't feel like going.
