First Trimester?

Hi

I took 3 at- home pregnancy tests, which all turned out positive.  I saw my primary doctor today.  She asked me when was the last period.  I told her February 23.  She also scheduled my first OB visit for May 9th.  I don't know how far along.  Can anyone help me this?  I think I'm either 3 or 4 weeks pregnant...

    My cycle is usually 21 days or 23 days.  I guess I'm regular since I've never missed a period and never been pregnant.  I'm new to all of this.

    most women ovulate 14 days before they start their period, and you're most likely to get pregnant in the 3 days after that (ovulation day + 2 more). so, if you figure out when you should have started your period and count back 14 days, that's approximately when you got pregnant, give or take a few days. if you're not regular, or if your ovulation is different (mine is about 11 days pre-period), then that's not quite right.

    if your doc gives you an ultrasound, they can tell the date (approximately) by the size of the embryo/fetus.

    Oh I'm sorry.  Yes they're always the same lenght.  I was supposed to get my period on the 21st of this month.

    so, you most likely got pregnant around the 7th, then. given your shorter cycles, you may have a shorter time between ovulation and period (called your Luteal period), but that's an approximate. it probably wouldn't be any earlier than that.
