So my first app for this baby was yesterday afternoon and my OB said she was extreemly happy I wanted to do a VBAC. She said that it was going to be the best option since it has been less than a year between pregnancies. (she wants csections to wait a year before getting pregnant again. whoops)
I did tell her thought that I had concerns about the weakening of my pelvic floor. My mom is having surgery in April to repair three BIG babies worth of damage done to her bladder, uterus, vaginal wall and colon. Since this problem is hereditary I asked if there is anything preventitive that I can do other than kegels. My OB told me there really is nothing to do other than to be healthy and to avoid gaining too much weight and if at all possible to not deliver a 10lb baby (both my babies were just over 8)
So all in all I feel good about it YAY!
Re: Good News!
That's great!
I'm surprised that your OB said VBAC is a better choice since your pregnancies are close together. Most OBs say the opposite. Did she give any reasoning? We've had some moms here who had great VBACs with close pregnancies so I'm glad your OB is open to that option.
I was surprised she felt that way too she preformed my csection and we did everything to try and avoid it, I think she was just as upset I had to have one as I was. She told me that she was confident in how I healed, that I had the easiest recovery that she had seen in years so she is confident that there shouldnt be many if ANY complications
