So I have a friend who is about a month behind me and she says that she can feel movement at 9 weeks. Not just movement but if she lays really still she can feel the baby's heart beat. I'm wondering if this is true. I think it is just crazy and there is no possible way but I really am not sure. Just because I can't feel movement yet doesn't mean that other people might not feel it much earlier. Just wondering if any of you have ever heard of or experienced this.

I couldn't feel DS's heartbeat when I was 37 weeks pregnant. She's feeling her own. You can even pick up your own heartbeat on a doppler down at your uterus if you don't know what you're looking for.
I just saw my OB yesterday and he said most women feel movement for the first time between 15 and 20 weeks, a little earlier when it is their 2nd, etc, is possible. The baby is TINY when it is 9 weeks (really, 7 weeks) old. I don't believe she is feeling it. She's probably feeling gas, like PP said, or just digestion stuff going on.
That is way too early. I had an u/s at 9 weeks and I remember how tiny that little bugger was...no WAY you could feel movement when they are that small!! And the heartbeat is definitely her own...as pp said, I have been able to feel my own hb much stronger in my abdomen since I got pg.
I felt movement at a time that is considered early (16-17 wks), and I've never heard of anyone feeling it earlier than 14-15wks.
I asked my doctor at my appointment when I was just about 15 weeks pregnant if it was too early to feel the baby and she said yes. The first time I know for sure what I felt was the baby was during my ultrasound last Friday at 18w1d and he nudged back when the tech was pressing kind of hard & have been feeling him since then.
As for the heartbeat, I just realized the other day that I could feel mine so strongly in my abdomen so I would think that that's what your friend is feeling.
I agree, when I was at my 12 week appointment my widwife couldn't pick up the HB with the doppler so she did an ultrasound for me. 9 weeks is way too early!
I started to feel flutters around 14-15 wks and I'm also pregnant with my second.
