My mom gave me an extra sewing machine, and I was thinking of trying these out: https://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2008/01/burp-cloth-tutorial.html

My question is, do you guys think flannel will be absorbent enough? Nothing worse that spit up/puke running down the burp cloth and onto your back/front...

    I would say yes, but you should probably wash the fabric in hot water a few times before using it as a burp cloth (that will improve the absorbency), and at least once before you sew on it (raw fabric changes after washing & drying). Then it should be okay :)!

    I love using flannel. I make mine using a prefold diaper and flannel (I usually use a couple different but coordinating patterns for each one).
