Sorry for all of the posting this morning. So long story short my car was hit in our neighborhood a few weeks ago. I took it into the shop on 3/14. They said it would be ready on 3/18. I called on 3/18 and they said now it won't be ready until 3/25. I called on 3/25 and they said it wouldn't be ready until today 3/29. SO I swear if I call today and my car is not ready I'm going to go freaking nuts. Absolutley ridiculous. And I LOVE how nobody at that shop is calling me to keep me updated, myself or DH had to be the ones to keep calling to get updates.
And the sad part is it wasn't a whole lot of damage. It was just the drivers side door skin that needed to be replaced. I'm beyond frusterated. I guess they ordered the part and it was backordered, then the part came in damaged so they had to get a new one.... I still don't understand how it takes so long. I can't help but feel like I am getting screwed in this whole process.
If the car isn't done today I wonder if I am allowed to pull my car out of the shop and take it somewhere else or if the insurance company is going to have a problem with it.
Anyways, sorry for the rambling. End vent!

Even if it is done today, I highly recommend contacting your insurance company and let them know what all took place. They need to know that your service experience was less than great.
Either way, I hope it's done! My car had to be repaired after a belt I had replaced broke and destroyed a large chunk of my engine back in December. Luckily GM covered half of the repair costs because the belt shouldn't have broken but because GM was directly involved it took them almost a month. After week 3 I got super pissed and they ended up giving me a rental. Maybe if it isn't done you can get a rental?
I probably should have gotten a rental from the start. The problem is because DH has his own insurance policy and isn't on mine, they won't let anyone else except for me bring back the rental car. So if my car was finished being repaired and I had to bring back the rental and I was in labor, I would have to pay for those extra days out of pocket. So I wasn't to keen on getting the rental car at that point but maybe if I had they would have been more motivated to repair my car in a timely manner!
