My in-laws are arriving around dinner time tomorrow and I want to have something in the crock pot ready.
Problem is, my FIL is simple meat and potatoes only and most of my crock pot recipes have a latin or asian spin. That will not fly with him.
I need something beef or pork, good, but fairly plain. Any suggestions?
Re: Need a crockpot recipe
Get any kind of roast and throw in a french onion soup powder mix along with water of course. It's so easy and taste yummy!! Then you can cook potatoes by itself or throw it in the slow cooker.

I do this, then slice up the roast beef, make some Au Jus sauce, put on a hoagie with some swiss or cheddar and broil it - makes a wonderful French Dip

This is what I am making for my parents for dinner at our house tomorrow. Just add bagged coleslaw and some sweet potato fries and you got a meal

Pulled pork was my suggestion too, only you can use a lot of different liquids.
Cook pork tenderloin or roast (Costco has FANFREAKINTASTIC pork sirloin roasts) in 8 oz. apple juice, beer, rootbeer, or Coke, three cloves garlic and half an onion (optional). Dump liquid. Shred pork and put it back in the crockpot with garlic and onion. Add one bottle BBQ sauce of choice and another 6 oz of apple juice, beer, rootbeer, or Coke and cook for 30 minutes. Serve with Kaiser rolls and coleslaw. Another great side is roasted potatoes or sweet potato fries. So yummy!

I'm making this right now and I serve it with bacon, cheese, green onions on the side for everyone to do it up as they please. It gets rave reviews and is super easy.

I'm making the Skinny Taste version of this for dinner tonight too! So yummy!
