Fitness Check-in

1. How did you do last week?

2. What is one thing you want to change for this week?

Re: Fitness Check-in

  • 1.  I did really well this week and got four workouts in.  I took a long walk outside on Monday, walked 4 miles on the Monon on Wednesday, did a 30-minute elliptical workout on Thursday, and ran/walked 5 miles on Saturday.

    2. I want to get 4 cardio sessions in and do this video twice:

    The Perfect Pregnancy Workout

I can't PIP at work anymore because tinypics is blocked, but open up the link and check out this woman.  Frankly, she scares the living daylights out of me.  I'll let you know how it goes...

    OMG! Scary fah shizzle.

    1. I did just okay - the weather didn't cooperate enough for me to get out every day, but I took Connor for two walks in the Moby when it was nice out, then Saturday I walked around the Children's Museum (hey - I'm counting that!) and yesterday I cleaned like a mad woman to get ready for company (yep, counting that too!).

    2. Well, I've come to realize that trying to get any formal exercise in with an infant and a 2 year old is nearly impossible unless I want to sacrifice time with them, which I don't (or in Connor's case, can't). During the day when I'm home with Connor I work so hard to get him to take a nap so that when he finally does go to sleep I feel like I'm on the clock to get household chores, showering, etc done. Working out is just so far down that list. I'm interested to see what our schedule will look like once I'm back to work and as Connor gets older and the weather gets nicer. I'm hoping to be able to take walks after dinner, and once he stops being such a terror in the evenings my husband and I are hoping to use our new Kinect to help get in shape. For now I'm cutting myself some slack.

You deserve it! If I were in your shoes I would not even be contributing to this post!

    1. It was a very bad week for me. I took my dog for a 3+ mile walk/jog on Pennsy trail (Greenfield's version of the Monon). That was it...

    2. I will have much more time on my hands this week and will be home for more than 2 hours a day, so I hope to get back to my goal of 3-4 40 minute+ workouts a week.

  • 1.  I didn't have high goals for last week, but I'm proud to say I did better than I hoped.  I walked for 50 minutes 3 times last week.

    2.  this week i need to focus on eating healthier.  i stocked up on healthy groceries over the weekend, now i just need to make sure i eat them and not my husband's junk!!

Ditto this!  I think you're doing awesome with a newborn and 2u2 - you should definitely go easy on yourself with every other aspect of your life!

Nope, definitely not the goal at all.  I don't want to look like that when I'm NOT pregnant.
