The pics look good! That's the beauty of DIY wraps, you never really have as much money tied up in them, so if you think something is a disaster, just start over.
I'm debating doing a grad dye job on my Osnaberg. I thought about just a solid colour, but I've read some of the tutorials, and it doesn't seem so hard!
There is a great DIY forum on TBW - I know I've picked up numerous hints and tips about fabrics and stuff like that.
Nice! I've been experimenting with dyes lately, too--my latest is attempting "homemade batik"--underdye, add a pattern with Tulip resist, overdye, wash. Thus far, all I can say is the way I was trying to add the pattern originally(sponge brush with stencils) was a fail, and I wound up freehand-drawing leaves all over the first attempt instead. This time I've got a better stiff-bristle brush, and simpler/smaller stencil, so...we'll see. Unfortunately, I've already cleaned the local JoAnn's out of their "utility diaper cloth"(love that stuff!) and my remaining piece is big enough for a four, but not a five(which I suspect is what I need for a mid-length). Guess I'm back to playing with osnaburg for now...
