breast question

So I'm not sure if this is a problem or normal/common I've just started realizing after reading about other women talking about growth and/or "leaking".

My question is: is it normal/common to not be leaking or growing when your just about to enter your 3rd trimester??

I've always been busty (40DD) and I haven't jumped sizes. I mean have became for fuller and my breast are firmer than they've ever been. But my concern is that am I not producing enough milk. I plan on breast feeding and I've just become aware that I really haven't changed. This may sound dumb but I don't really have anyone else to ask and I feel rather comfortable on here. My next appt is April 1st so I will also ask my midwife but I kinda wanted a general response.

not to worry! a lot of women who are larger busted before pregnancy don't necessary see large changes in their breasts during pregnancy. i've been the same way. i was also a DD before and am only slightly bigger now, just a lot fuller and firmer like you said. have no fear, you are still going to make plenty of milk for your LO. don't forget that mature milk comes in only after you give birth too. so a few days after giving birth your breasts might swell up a bit

Don't worry at all. I'm small busted, but I didn't grow at all my first pregnancy and didn't leak a drop during pregnancy either. My milk came in just fine (and once my milk came in my boobs did go up in size) and I breast fed my son exclusively (and I mean exclusively because he refused to take a bottle - so it was the boob or nothing!) for a year.

With my first pg, my breasts didn't grow at all. My milk also never came in. I produced a small amount of colostrum but that's all. Now, I have no idea if no breast growth is an indication of you not producing milk so please don't worry over what I said.

This time around, my boobs have grown slightly, but not much, so I dunno.

I'm 36 weeks with #2 and have yet to see a single drop. It came it a few days after delivery with #1 so no worries. I also truly don't think my boobs have grown at all with either baby, they did after DS was born but I'm still in the same bras I was pre-pg.

I was a large C while pregnant with my daughter. I never changed throughout my entire pregnancy until 2-3 days PP when my milk came in and I had a HUGE oversupply with her.

After I stopped breastfeeding her, I dropped to a small C/B. This pregnancy they have grown a bit so far.. but I think when you begin bigger they may not grow as much until your milk comes out.

How they grow during pregnancy has no relation to your milk supply whatsoever.

don't worry at all! i have big breasts, and both my sisters leaked during their pgcies, so i expected to, but i did not leak AT ALL, until after he was born.

thanks sooo much. I was just worried because you always hear the stories of how your boobs grow & how women leak thru clothes. I am soo relieved that I'm not alone!! Thanks now I know its common & can just be happy that they haven't doubled in size or anything. : ] .
