Chapped facial cheeks

Hi all,

I know I saw a post about this a while back, but I can't seem to find it.  What does everyone recommend for chapped/cracked cheeks (facial)?  S's cheeks are so red and raw from her cold and all of the mucus.  I'm worried that whatever I use will end up in her eyes, so I wanted to be cautios.  Thanks mamas!

    I also use this tiny (and expensive) product: Boudreaux's Baby Kisses.

    Works well.   

    Aaron has majorly chapped cheeks from the drool, pacifier, snot, etc.

    A third rec for Aquaphor. I put on a thicker coat before bed and the chapping is significantly better in the AM.

    We use Aquafor at nap times and bed time when R has chapped cheeks or other parts for that matter.

    If Mikey's just a little chapped then I leave his cheeks alone. If they're getting bad then I put a teeny tiny bit of Lush's Dream Cream on them. He had a cold a month or so ago where the skin under his little nose cracked and bled. For that I dabbed some Neosporin on him.

    Ever since his escema days, we use Eucerin for everything.  Aquafor is good, too, but I've found it a bit more greasy.

    What I was going to say though is that you can use it on your own hands/feet, etc and it's not as greasy as vaseline.

    Liz - that was awesome! Anyway - when D hot windburn on her cheeks when we went to NC for Xmas, I used aloe on it and she was fine after a couple days.

    We used vaseline for going outside in the Montreal winter.

    Aquaphor has worked for us.  We keep a small tube in the diaper bag for those kind of things.

    Ha...when I saw 34 responses to this post, I thought, "Wow...a lot of people are really excited about chapped cheeks!" 

    Anyway, we use Mustela Hydra-Stick.  Looks like a baby deodorant and you use it on baby's face and lips.

    I like Aquafor but I also use leftover nipple cream I don't need anymore like Lansinoh or Motherlove, I like that they are not petroleum jelly but I use whatever one I happen to have handy.
