The boys just turned 1 year actual, almost 10 months adjusted. I have asked their pedi at last well visit abotu milk and he said they usually wait unitl 1 year adjusted. My boys are a good weight, 24, 21 and 19 lbs. They are not really into the bottles lately. I am working on going down to 3 bottles a day. They would reather have table food. they currently drink around 22-32 oz a day (each).
So when did your LO start milk?
We have given them a taste of milk and they like it. DD hated it and we had a hard time changing.
We have our 1 yr. well visit on friday and i wanted to ask the Dr. Why wait? Is there a reason to delay? what was your experience? Thanks
Re: When did you start whole milk and other related Q?
This, exactly. And actually, I started a few weeks early b/c I wanted to make sure she was on WCM for a trip we'd had planned. It worked out well. DD had no issues. I switched out one bottle per day, and she was doing about 4 bottles per day at the time. We also switched her to sippy cups at that time. For whatever reason, she never caught on to holding her own bottle, but did fine holding her sippy herself. The only thing I would have done differently would be to teach her how to use a straw cup instead of the sippies. We only used sippy cups for maybe a month or two, I had my stockpile good to go, and then she learned how to use the straw cups. Those were much easier for us, so we stuck with them.
