PSA re Synagis in April

I posted last week that we were having a hard time getting approved for the boys' April synagis shots. We just found out that we were approved. Our doctor called our insurance company directly and was forceful with them about the boys' need to get the shot. 

For those of you trying to get approval, try having your doctor call if you haven't already.

    Our hospital isn't giving us an April shot.  Or anyone, I guess I should say.

    I just found out today that our April shot was also approved. 

    It could be regional as to if they are approving / not approving - I know they look at overall RSV %'s for the area when they make their decision - and in my area (DC) it is still high. 

    Of course, my nurse told me that several other babies in our practice did NOT get approved for April, so maybe it is my insurance company or my son's early, early bday that got him approved.
