Hospital in Western Suburbs: Good Sam, Hinsdale, CDH??

Hello everyone!


I am searching for a few doctor and wanted to know what your thoughts on the hospitals in the Western Suburbs.  

The ones I am looking at are CDH, Good Sam, Hinsdale and maybe Elmhurst.  Anyone know where I can find ratings? Anyone with positive or negative experiences?

 I have been searching the web for days! Thanks Ladies!

DH 35, Me: 34
DX: Unexplained Secondary Infertility, Slight DOR
Sept 14 - IUI (Clomid + Ovidrel) = BFN
Oct 14 - IUI (Clomid + Ovidrel + Progesterone) = BFN
Nov 14- Benched due to cysts Looking for New Doc
Feb - IUI #3 (Letrozole + Ovridrel)
March/April - IVF #1 - Antagonist Protocol - Follistim+HGH+Low Dose HCG - 11R/9M/5F - 2 8 cell 3dtransfer - BFN on April 23, 2014

    What kind of doctors?  

    I will be delivering at CDH in Winfield.  They offer a free mommy class where they have a continental breakfast, a birth center tour & they talk about all the classes they offer. They do it every first Saturday of the month but you need to call to be put on the list.

     The OB/GYNs I see have offices out of Stratford and Danata Square & not the hospital.

    I am not currently pregnant but we are TTC #1.  I work with a former nurse who just can't say enough good things about CDH.  She says the staff there is just excellent.  So, I went with her advice and I found a doctor that delivers at CDH and that is where I will deliver when the time comes.  Hope that helps!

    I delivered at Good Sam.  I thought it was really nice.  It's all private rooms, you order what you want from the food menu, there's a little beverage/snack area they keep stocked.  There were even pastries for my husband each morning.  The room had a couch for my husband to sleep on.  The nurses and doctors were super nice.  I'd definitely recommend it and plan on delivering future kiddos there.

    I've heard good things about Hinsdale too.

    I LOVED Hinsdale hospital.  I had my daughter there in June 2009 and will be having my 2nd there this May.  The hospital is beautiful and they currently are improving it even more. I received wonderful care while I was there. Parts of the hospital are under construction right now.

    I see the midwives through West Suburban Women's Health located in Willowbrook but they also have fantastic doctors.

    I delivered both my kids at Hinsdale and was very happy.  Private rooms, snack area for the dads, great nurses and I even got a massage after delivery. Nice perks but for us the most important thing was it has a level 2 nicu which my son spent a week in, we were greatful for this.

    we are delivering at CDH and have signed up for the Mom's in Waiting class that is offered the first saturday of the month.  I've heard nothing but good things about CDH and the hospital is absolutely beautiful!

    I was born at CDH, both my niece and my nephew were born there and I will be delivering there even though it is a 45 min drive, it's well worth it!

    Both my sister and I go to either Dr. Russo or Dr. Fessenmeyer with Dupage Ob/Gyn.
