I'm sorry I havent' kept in touch very well. Congrats on your daughter! Hopefully you are all three doing really well and adjusting to being a new little family. I still have an inside baby and it looks like we will probably be inducing sometime this week. At my 38 week appointment the doctor did a growth ultrasound and is concerned that the baby will probably be at least 8 1/2 pounds by this week, I am only 5'2", so she is a little worried about him being too big for me to have. I also found out that I have border-line high blood pressure, last time she checked it was 140/100, so she is a little worried about that too. As of Friday I hadn't started to dilate or efface at all and she really doesn't like to induce before 42 weeks, but with all of the circumstances, thinks that will be our best option. I go in Tuesday to do another ultrasound, a stress test and an internal to see how the baby is and if I have progressed at all, and we will make the decision then, to either induce as soon as they can, or wait and see if he comes on his own. So... things are ok, I guess! I am really ready to have this little guy and am pretty disappointed about the induction, but want to do what is best for the baby's health as well as my own, and really don't want to have a c-section if at all possible. I'll try to post after my appointment Tuesday, but if I don't get it done, I will definitely post after the baby gets here!
Good luck at your appointment! I don't know if you read my birth story or not, but I was induced because of high blood pressure. After 34 hours, all ended well for us. Hopefully if you are induced you have a shorter labor than I did and no C-section. But like you said, whatever is best for LO is all that matters. I'll be looking for an update or birth story from you soon. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you over the web. Sending good vibes!
