ok so I don't post on here very often but wanted to give hope to all who are still prego :-)
I had a scheduled c section 3/31 (repeat), and have had BH since 25 wks, VERY regularly for the past 2 wks. I went to Drs on thurs 3/17 and still no progress. Contractions started saturday night, but after 2 1/2 hrs of 3-5 min apart they went away. Sunday got up felt fine, and at 5:15pm they started, 2-5 min apart, I just couldn't get comfortable, and they were "different" than before. So around 6:30 after laying in bed for an hr, I decided to call the Dr and she said go in to L&D. I got in the shower and we got our LO ready to be dropped off to gma's, and headed to the hospital. Checked in at 8pm, contractions were every 2 mintutes and off the grid paper...nurse said you are definately contracting, they checked me and I was only 1 cm dilated and 75% effaced. They called my VERY conservative Dr, (hubby says we are going home, she won't do anything) and the nurse comes back and says we are gonna have a baby in an hour, they are prepping the OR. WHAT OMG!!! So we got on the phone to our parents to head to the hospital, and they arrived just in time to see me before I went into the OR. Everything went awesome, so at 37w 4days, Libby Shay was born @ 10:38pm. 6lbs 9oz 19 inches long, She is absolutely amazing! I stayed 3 nights, and have been pain free for several days now, with no meds.
I do not have a high tolerance to pain, but for some reason I do well with C sections. If you are reading this and will be having a c section, my only "musts" would be get up and walking as soon as they will let you, and be sure to ask for stool softners!
Being a mommy of 2 is more amazing than I could ever imagine!
