Anytime someone at work says something like, "I'm going to REACH OUT to him/her", it makes me want to papercut their face.
Why on earth can't you use words or phrases like, call, speak, talk to or any other word or phrase that would insinuate initiating a conversation?
I cannot stand buzz-wordy, marketing-enhanced lingo.
Sorry, that is all.
Re: Maybe it's the hormones but...
I know everyone uses it and I'm sure I even use when I'm around people who also use it but today I heard it on a conference call and for some reason it just made my skin crawl.
Perhaps it's just the lack of sleep and the fact that I cannot wait to go on maternity leave and get out of here lol.
Probably. When I stopped liking my job, everything made my skin crawl.
I love my job but I'm just so exhausted and uncomfortable and unfocused and stressed out about making sure everything is done before I leave that I really hope he waits a few days after the 15th (my last day of work) so that I can relax a day or two before he comes.
