to have my LO. If not, after reading all of these LO posts, I'd be scared to have him.
I never knew it would be this hard. I have so much more respect for teen/single moms.
I think about single moms several times a day. My FI is gone from 130pm- anytime between 11pm-3am monday through friday so I don't have a ton of help from him.. but just knowing that he's coming home to me gives me some comfort. I don't know how single moms do it.
Also.. that Duggar lady is a nut! lol I have my hands full with a newborn and our dog/cats.. I don't know how she keeps up with 18 kids... even if the older ones do take care of the younger kids for the most part. No thanks! I'll probably stop at 2!

The Duggers just team up the little ones with older ones. That's how they do it.
I don't have respect for teen moms. I do have respect for the families of those teen mothers, because the majority of what I see in the emergency room...that's who's raising the child.

This. I definately have a lot of respect for single mothers or those with a horrible support network but I can't have admiration for teen mothers.
Looking back one was a breeze. Even with my preterm, refluxy, colicky, not slttn until 18 mo baby. Two is kicking my ass. I miss the days of it just being the three of us
But I am looking forward to the future... I really just hate the newborn stage, a lot!

I honestly don't know how many times I have said that I didn't realize how HARD parenthood was going to be. I knew that it wasn't going to be a walk in the park, but I honestly had no idea. I have a new respect for my mother.
I've also wondered how single moms do it. I don't know what I would have done the first three weeks without my husband at home helping me.
Diagnosed with PCOS March '10 - Started 1000mg of Metformin After 3 unsuccessful Clomid cycles, FSH+Ovidril+IUI+Progesterone=BFP!
Time to make Emilie a big sister!
May '16 2.0: Letrozole+FSH+Menopur+Ovidril+IUI+Progesterone=BFP! first beta-45.44, second beta-148
I agree, I knew it would be different and an adjustment but you have NO idea how big of an adjustment and how hard it will be until you're in it knee deep. Those first few weeks were hard, hard, hard hard! I cried a lot and felt very lost. Now three weeks into it, I'm feeling much better about things!
LOL. Thank you for sharing. Honesty is important so I really appreciate the blogger's candor and humor. We have lots of feelings and need to talk about them. I'm glad it gets easier!
To OP, even though people share their stories about labor, delivery, and motherhood, I don't think people can really hear it until they're ready and usually that's after they've experienced themselves. Then it becomes relevant and we can support each other. Even though some of the stories and experiences are scary or overwhelming, it's all worth it! These little human beings are going to amaze us!
ETA: I don't respect teen moms for getting pregnant, I respect the ones who step up, take care of baby (on their own, usually with the dad), and finish school.
I can barely take a shower most days... I don't know how they study too!
I didn't mean to offend anyone- just telling the other side of the story. Motherhood is all happy and babies are cute and stuff, but it's SO hard. I wish people would have been more honest with me about that part.

It is really difficult, but it definitely gets easier (and a lot more fun). Some babies are a lot more difficult than others. I love this blog https://www.babyrabies.com/. Read the article titled https://www.babyrabies.com/2011/03/giving-myself-more-credit-for-surviving-colic/.
Well thatnks a lot cause I haven't had my baby yet! Why don't you just say FU to the late march mommas!

I really hope you're just being sarcastic, because I don't think anyone intended for it to come across that way.
