2nd Trimester

I wanted people to notice my bump right?

So why am I so depressed that some guy just told me he would have guessed I was six months pregnant when I told him I was three months along?

I'm trying to make myself feel better by saying it's just because I wore a maternity top for the first time today.

  • once people notice your bump, I guess you'll begin to get all sorts of comments, so I would get used to it. Besides, what do men know? haha

  • Men are clueless! A guy told me I looked like I was getting wide. WTF no one asked him!

Don't pay any attention to him.

  • Guys are insensitive. I've had guys focus on other growing parts rather then the baby bump and comment one the "girls". I made rude comments back such as it's too bad we CAN'T see you're lil guy!! They didn't enjoy that too much. Enjoy the bump. It's a great feeling. It only lasts soo long too. =D

  • You have a healthy baby, like you said. That is such a positive outlook that more people should take!
  • I have gone through the same thing with this pregnancy. It is my second, so I started to show much earlier than with my first. I got the whole "Oh, I thought you were having twins" line alot. I just smile and say no...

I love my prego belly and I embrace it. You should too!! Men only wish they could do what we do.

  • Men are idiots... expect many innapropriate comments from people especially once you start showing... And funny looks when you eat a balogna and cheese sandwich and fruit loops for breakfast... What do they know? :-) Enjoy and love your bump! GL momma!

  • Maternity shirts always seem to make you look bigger than you actually are. And you'll have days every now and then when you'll wake up with a bump and then they next day you have nothing lol :o)

  • don't feel bad. I've been told that I'm small for 22 weeks and others have said I'm huge. Honestly people don't know what to say and certainly not a guy. I mean how the heck does he know?
  • Yeah- that guy is a douche!!  Ignore him.  I have already had a coworker tell me the other day "But your only almost 4 months, you look big!" Whatever!  I have 4 other lady's in my office who are pregnant.  One due a couple days before me who is not showing as much as me and the other three are all due between June/July and ALL look different because of the way they are carrying.

Just remember, we are all different.

  • The average guy does not really have any idea about how big a belly would be in the various stages of pregnancy. I would not worry about it.

  • Guys really are clueless, my boss, a man, asked how far along I am. He said "about 8 weeks right?" Umm...no try 24 weeks. I felt bad because I laughed out loud to my boss. Just a 4 month difference....haha still cracks me up how off base he was. (And yes I have quite a belly going on)
