Two Under 2

Was ready to throw in the towel yesterday

DD is teething and EXTREMELY clingy and grouchy and I think DS is coming down with a cold. That made for a really fun day yesterday! After an afternoon of juggling two crying kids I was crying in my bedroom by the end of night. Thank God DH took them so I could take a bubble bath and relax a little. I am so exhausted...having 2U2 is so overwhelming sometimes. There is so much to do - laundry, cleaning, baths, etc. And I feel like if I skip one night of dishes or laundry it will just snowball. And my H is a super helpful guy, so I can't blame him! We were gone over the weekend and I came home to a mountain of laundry, no food in the house and a messy house. I have no time to take care of everything! And if I spend the whole night trying to clean up and get things done, it's quality time I am not spending with my kids. I'm guessing this never goes away, but UGH I feel like I need a few days off to catch up!

  • I can totally relate, mine are sick right now and it is really rough. Some days it all feels much harder than others but you can do this, you're doing great and your kids are growing up with a great example of a hard-working mom.

  • I feel ya! Both kids, even baby is teething. just take it one hour at a time. I do take 5 min break everyother hr even if they r both screaming. Those precious minutes really help my stress level. Also ur house will become a diaster zone from time to time. When they both nap at same time I can either clean or eat, maybe brush my teeth ;) point is you have to leave a mess a mess sometimes. gl momma! Its tough with 2u2 but remember it WILL get better.
  • It is so tough sometimes! The first year is pretty difficult. Now that mine are toddlers, things are much more manageable. They have a schedule and I know when I am going to get a break!

  • We had a day like this yesterday, too. I hope they were better for you today!
