Battery powered snot sucker?

I know a lot of you have raved about the nosefrida thing, but it doesn't appear you can get it anywhere locally and I need something now.  Lila is sooo congested!  Does anyone have one of those batter powered snot suckers (I've seen them at BRU but never really looked closely at them)?  Do they work well?

Re: Battery powered snot sucker?

  • I did have one... and while it worked ok it scared the crap out of DS.. it was loud and obnoxious and he would freak out... I used saline and the blue bulb until I got the nosefrida.

I know you can only get the nosefrida online... but Amazon ships in 1 day so if you ordered it this morning you could have it by tomorrow (no extra charge for shipping if you order Amazon Mom)

Is she sick?? Or is the congestion something that's constant? Poor baby. GL!

  • I bought the graco one and it worked well for us.

It plays music to distract them but it is loud.  I will say, holding it at an angle makes  a huge difference and you don't see it dispense the stuff into the clear holder thing immediately.  After you suck the snot you run hot water and then use it under that and all the snot comes through with the water.  I makes me gag it is so freaking gross, but worked.

    Good luck!

EXACTLY this~ We made a emergency trip to Walgreens to get one the other night as that stupid bulb thing wasn't working. It has been worth every penny over the past few days!

The sound doesn't bother Nolan at all so I think that just depends on the baby.

We got the Graco one as well @ Walgreens & it was $19.99

    Good Luck!

  • Thanks for the reviews!  I made a trip to BRU this morning to pick the Graco one up.  She's sleeping right now and her head is rattling like crazy... can't wait to get the snot out when she wakes up.

And yes Traycee, she is getting over some yuckiness right now :(  She's been congested several times over the past few weeks, but this time was really bad... her breathing was really rough over the weekend and she spiked a fever over 101.
