Well-our cycle was cancelled today due to poor response from follistim/monopur stimulation. Was looking to go this way on Sunday but Dr. kept me on injectables for a few more days just to make sure I wasn't a late bloomer. Biggest follicle is only 10mm-with 4 smaller follicles. Nurse told me that they are looking for follicles between 15-16mm at this point in my cycle. Said that my estrogen today is 81, would expect it to be about 150+ at this point. On Sunday the nurse reminded me to order more meds if I needed them-in case things looked good and we were going to continue. I ordered only one follistim cartridge and one box Menopur ($270 copay) in case we needed them for today. So frustrating to put out cold hard cash and now doesn't look like we will be using these meds at all. She said I can expect AF in 3 weeks. Need to make an appointment with MD in the meantime to discuss new medication protocol. I had such high hopes-had to think positive, that why we decided to buy more meds. Sucks to have to start over!!! I'm on vacation next week and would loved to have used that money for a weekend getaway with DH. Trying to not get upset-going to order a pizza and have a few drinks.

IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4.

I had the same thing happen. It's good that you happen to have vacay time planned so you can mentally recalibrate. I thought I was fine and ended up leaving yoga class crying my eyes out. (combination of the cancellation as well as the drugs I'm sure.) Nonetheless you'll get to try again...everything will be ok.
