Modified Bed Rest has brought out my crafty side

I have never knitted in my life and saw these looms at Amazon and decided to give it a go based on some instructions on a photography website. I want to try to do a pixi hat next, but I need to buy a different set of looms for that.

The cream hat was my first practice one. It's way too long but I think I'll be able to use it later when I attempt to do my own new born photos (yeah, we'll see how that goes as I'm only a hobbyist)

It's not your typical knitting with needles. It's a round loom with pegs that you wrap, very easy.

looks great! I have one of those looms too, how did you do the tassles at the bottom? I've only made just boring old beanies..... that little hat is so cute!

The tassles are just pieces of the string braided together. Wrap the yarn around your forearm about 12 times, cut in half. Separate out half for one side and half for the other. Find a hole in the hat and then push the yarn halfway through. Separate the pieces into three equal bunches and then brain together.

Wow, I love it!

I've also been feeling "crafty". I've crocheted a baby sweater, two caps, booties and a hooded blanket. Its relaxing, fun, and helps pass the time!
