Starting a workout program during 2ww

I know that it would be fine to keep working out during your 2ww but what about starting to workout again.  I have been super lazy lately and after this morning scale encounter I really need to get back to working out.  I'm either just starting my 2ww or will be this week (need a few more temps to know). So would it be ok to start using the elliptical again.  I was thinking to start off 30min or so.

  • I would say you should be fine to start....just don't kill yourself the first time on it. If you go slow, break a little sweat and work your way into it everything should be okay.

  • I agree with PP. It'll be good for you to get moving and get some cardio, and the eliptical is low impact. I always worry about running in the 2WW, but from what I've heard, that is just fine to do as well.

  • I think it's a-ok.  I'm still running the exact same while TTC.  Now, if one day I'm suddenly bent over in the bushes yacking everywhere, I might be singing a different tune.
  • It's beneficial to work out, and there isn't any special harm to working out during the 2WW. Your plan to start out with 30 minutes sounds good, especially considering you've worked out in the past and know your limits. As long as you are not working out beyond the point of abusing your body (you shouldn't be exhausted, nauseated, lightheaded, etc.), then there's no harm unless you have some underlying condition.
