#1. We have one similar and the picnic table has been a big deal. Aside from wanting to picnic on it, it becomes the "kitchen" when she's playing with her friends. You probably have room next to the table underneath the set to put a sandbox in there if you wanted.

Which one would a two year old like? The second one because of the sand pit. However, I'd never have one in my yard! They gross me out.
We have a wooden playset with a rock wall that my 3yo LOVES.
Number 1 totally. You can't buy for his current ability because he is only going to get bigger, stronger, and more coordinated.
