Baby Hawaii made a scary entrance into the world and spent time in the NICU. We finally got to go home with clear instructions to not bring the baby into public places, keep kids away from him (measles is an issue here again) and anyone that is/was sick/cold, etc.
So H's sister is now p^ssed because her kids, who aren't vaccinated btw, want to come to see the baby and can't. She thinks I'm being ridiculous because her kids aren't sick and "they'll wash their hands."
Then a friend, who's 6mo old is sick right now still wanted to come over and see the baby. I said no--and while she sounded understanding, I could tell she thought I was being silly.
I might be overprotective or whatever, but its still H and my call to make. Maybe in a week or so things will be better, but right now we're not taking any chances. Watching your child hooked up to all sorts of wires, machines, etc is really hard and I'm going to do everything I can to not put him in that situation again.

You are a good mom and you are doing what is best for your child. That is all that matters.
