I am 41. My son Miles will be one in a couple of weeks. Prior to having Miles we tried three cycles and got pregnant immediately with each cycle. The first two ended in miscarriage at about ten weeks. I took heparin (blood thinner) during my preg with Miles.
So we have been trying the past two cycles with no luck. I am concerned because this last cycle was only 22 days and the previous one was 33 days. Prior to that I haven't been keeping track.
Any suggestions or encouragement? Charting? Ovulation tests? I really want another baby but at forty one and a half I feel that I am running out of time.........
Re: Irregular due to previous pregnancy or my age?
Were you on any type of birth control following your son's birth? It can take a bit to regulate coming off it. That being said, I've had cycles from 20 days to 33 days since I've been tracking last August. Try not to worry about your age. Lots of women get pregnant at 41. Check out the Pregnant After 35 Board and you will see for yourself! Of course there are always a certain number of women who have trouble, at younger ages. You just don't know. I would recommend you start charting to see if you are ovulating. Also use OPK's to "know" when you need to be having sex. Hang out here and you will learn quickly. A lot of us are seeing reproductive endocronologists for difficulties in getting/staying pregnant. Good luck!

Sounds like you are on the right track with temping and OPKs. I used FF when we were TTC. Once we are done TTA, I will reactivate my account and use it again. Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a great resource book for learning the ins/outs of temping, etc. But I think FF has it nicely summed up.
I see you are a Denverite!?! We are in Denver too. Best of luck to you!
Ditto Fertility Friend. It is a great way for me to keep track of my cycles. I am also temping.
Good Luck.
