Would you drink this?

I got some chocolate milk this morning from a bakery. As I was about to open and drink it, I noticed the date said February so I looked a little more closely. The date is February 2012.  Seemed odd to me so I googled the brand. It is an organic milk and found that they use UHT pasteurization hence the longer shelf life. I can't really find a site I trust that discusses whether this process is safe for pregnancy. Anyone know? If not, would you drink it?

Re: Would you drink this?

  • Yes. If it says it's pasteurized then I would.

  • Those brands are usually shelf stable and don't even require refrigeration.  It's safe.

  • Yep, sure would.

  • Thanks ladies. I really wanted it. I was pretty confident after finding that 95% of milk in France uses this technique and seeing that it kills more bacteria than the typical pasteurization process. But, there's nothing like a nod from pregnant e-friends.
