Two Under 2

Ughhh this is...

Harder than I thought it would be.

And easier than I thought it would be.

Obviously, I'm not making any sense lol.

Morgan has been in/out of the hospital, and sick but regardless of that and the fact that she eats every 2 hours..and now isn't sleeping at night at all due to her reflux..and I want to run away.

It kind of sucks.

Those people, who are all, "i like the chaos and fun of it all."

you suck too, lol.

I like organization, and schedules, and not having two kids screaming for me all the time.

P cries everytime I'm feeding Morgan because she wants me to hold her.  She isn't happy just sitting beside me either.

I feel like either one or the other is crying..and usually both.  It's exhausting.

I feel horrible when Peyton just wants mommy, and I feel horrible when Morgan is in pain.

I dont' want to wish away the newborn stage..especially since we are not having anymore children, but I want to fast forward through the next few months, please.

Not to mention M has to start PT for her tort.  So now I have PT for TWO kids, and ST for Peyton and freakin' weight checks out the butt for M.  AND I have to go back to work in some way/shape/form next week.  We can't really afford for me to work PT but there isn't enough of me to go around to work FT.

Woe is me.

  • Poor thing. We are dealing with our sixth month of SEVERE reflux, and saw our GI this past week. We are starting on a low dose of an antibiotic for a while.

As for the weight checks, can you rent a scale from a LC, or medical supply, and keep tabs on her at home to have one less apt unless there is a concern? Ugh I am sorry you are so stressed. It does get better I promise.

  • You have a lot going on! I am sorry you are having a rough time.

I had a hard time in the beginning too. But I can promise you that it does and will get better....MUCH better.

You are still in survival mode right now. Do you have anyone that can come and help out a little bit? Or maybe when DH is home you can get out alone for an hour or two? Such a short time can make a huge difference. Also, does DH help out at night? Getting a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep can make a big difference too.

  • Ugh-I know how you feel with the reflux. My DS had reflux as an infant and still does.

Things that helped us during those first few months were feedings every 2 hours (which I see you're doing), rice cereal with the bottle (which some dont believe in doing, and isnt a possibility if you're EBF, but for me it made a huge difference), wearing the baby in a carrier, and the fisher price rock n play sleeper. That made a huge difference in DS's sleep-he started STTN shortly after we started putting him in there for bedtime. I'd highly advise getting one if you dont have one already. We wouldnt have survived reflux without it.

Have you gotten a baby carrier yet? That was a huge lifesaver since I could hold DS upright hands free pretty much all day if I wanted to. I use it a lot with DD as well, since I can sit with DS in my lap/play with him and hold DD hands free at the same time.

I hope things start getting better for you soon.
