Brown Discharge 13 days after D&C? TMI

I had a D&C on Monday the 14th. I pretty much had stopped bleeding 2 days later. Then today I felt something wet. So I went to check and I had alot of brown, mucousy discharge, Sorry TMI. It was enough to need a pad today. But now its nothing. Just a little when I wipe. Should I be concerened about this at all? The only other symptom I have had off and on the past 2 days is I thought I was getting a bladder infection a few times due to it burning when I pee, but not all the time.

I know brown blood means old blood. So anyone else have this. I see the doctor tomorrow for my 2 week follow up after D&C. Thanks ladies!

DS is 3 years old* BFP#1-12/30/11, CP-1/6/11* BFP#2- 1/31/11-missed M/C at 9 weeks-3/9/11, D&C-3/14/11* BFP#3-7/13/11-M/C at 10 weeks-8/26/11, D&C -8/29/11* BFP#4-10/31/11- Beta at 10DPO-19, Beta at 12DPO-118, RE recommended heparin 2X daily and progesterone 2X daily.     I don't think it's anything to be concerned about (not that I am a Dr by any means).  I have seen a lot of different stages of bleeding after D&C's after reading people's experiences here.  I had nothing for 3 days after my D&C then all of a sudden it started and I bled for 12 days.  

    Luckily you have you appt tomorrow so you can check with your Dr on what's happening to put your mind at ease.

    I finally have my post D&C appt on Thursday (5 weeks after) ugh, feel like I have been waiting forever to get my answers!!!

    I'm sorry for your loss. 

    I had brown mucousy discharge around 10-11 days after my D&C.  It wasn't enough for a pad, but I had a panty liner on and I had to change that cuz some of it sat on top of the liner instead of soaking in (gross, I know). 

    The burning when you pee, sounds like it could be a bladder infection.  I would get that checked out if it doesn't go away.  I know from personal experience, you can get really sick if you don't take care of it quickly and you don't want to deal with that while also dealing with healing from your m/c.

    The brown blood is completely normal. Sounds like your body is just getting rid of old blood leftover from the procedure.

     As for the possible bladder infection just let your doctor know your symptoms and see what they say. You can also buy these test strips at the store (I think Azo makes them) and you pee on them and it will let you know if you have a UTI or not based on the color it turns. I got a UTI about a month after my first D&C....doubt it was related but then again it certainly could be!

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    I'm only 3days post d&c and I have a brown slimy discharge. I searched high and low to see if this was normal. It's all I've had since thursday (no bleeding- so far, anyway) Hope you get some answers, but I think it's normal??

    I had brown mucousy discharge on and off with my second D&C. Nothing to worry about per my Dr. Lasted about a week off an on for me.

    I also had brown discharge after my D&C. I was told it was normal and it was just my body getting rid of the left over blood. It never hurts to bring it up to your doctor though if you're concerned.

    I agree with this. They sell Azo-standard with cranberry pills to treat the burning of bladder infections and sometimes prevent them from getting worse and turn into a full blown infection. I would start on those. It will turn your urine bright orange, but that is normal and is the only side effect usually.
