sex between ER and ET?

What is your clinic's policy?  I looked through my paperwork and I don't see anything saying it's not allowed...

(I know this comes up now and then but I honestly never paid attention since we have such long gaps between cycles....nothing exciting has happened around here since before valentine's day and I wouldn't mind changing that before the 2ww, if we have one)

    My RE said not to do anything that could be "jarring to the pelvis". So I took that to mean no hanky panky. Sorry :(

    Nope -- my RE specifically says no sex or anything down there until after beta.  Nothing to potentially effect the embies and because ovaries are so big they don't want to risk ovarian torsion.  :o(

    Per my RE, no sex for 14 days following ER, no running and no bouncing/jumping.
    TTC #1 Since 11/08 - Dx: MFI & PCOS
    7 IUIs = All BFNs
    2011: March IVF #1.2 = e/p @ 6w: May IVF #2 = BFN: July sFET #1 = BFN

    2012: Jan We're Certified FC/A Parents
    May IVF #3 = c/p
    June-Nov Foster Mommy to M (Toddler)
    July FET #2 = BFN
    Aug FET #3 = BFN
    Sept-Nov Foster Mommy to Baby Bella (Newborn)
    Nov HSG/Sono = Clear!

    My RE suggested we have sex the night before transfer, but only if I was comforfable enough to do so. Then nothing until further notice.  Apparently there was some study that stated that sex before transfer yields better implantation rates.

    Maybe my RE is the only one, but he says no unprotected (as in, w/out a condom) between ER and ET because it's possible that a few stray eggs could float out into the tubes following the ER, get fertilized, and implant along with the transferred embroys, leading to HOM. 

      In my case, no sex was fine, since I had some OHSS issues and was bloated and miserable.

    Hmmm... maybe I'll ask. Thanks for all the responses.

    I don't feel quite well enough today but hope to before Wed.  (No risk of anything being fertilized outside of the lab :) but I have heard of that being a concern.

    My RE said absolutely no sex from the time of ER until confirmed BFP & then she will readvise if we have to wait until 8-12 weeks.

    Nothing until after beta.
    After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.

    On my discharge papers after my ER's it says in bold. Nothing in the vagina for 2 weeks after ER.

    I would never risk it for sex. Not at this point in the game. Seems silly...just MHO.

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    Excuse my ticker, but wanted to chime in that I totally had sex the day before our 5dt, which was successful.
