We had twins from our IVF#1. We had 25 follicles with 20 eggs but only 15 were mature enough to use. Out of the 15, 11 were fertilized with ICSI. On day 3, 5 were still growing. We implanted 2 and hit the jackpot. The remaining 3 didn't make it to day 5.
We used 300 iu of follistim, 15 of HCG, 250 iu ganirelix and baby asprin.
If I remember correctly, I was on 75 units of menopur & 475 units of follistim plus lupron (10 units of that, I believe). ?I stimulated for something crazy like 12 or 13 days. ?I don't remember my follicle count, but they retrieved 11 eggs, 7 were mature, & all 7 fertilized by ICSI. ?On day 3 post-retrieval, one embryo had stopped developing & the other 6 were divided into 2 groups of 3. ?One group of 3 was 6 or 8 cells, grade A or B, & the other group of 3 was 6 cells & less good quality. ?I transferred all 3 of the best-looking embryos. ?The other 3 were not good enough to freeze after extended culture. ?Oh, & we used assisted hatching too. ?HTH!
Don't know how many follies - but I had 24 eggs (only 16 mature). Of the 16 mature eggs, 8 fertilized normally. Two embryos were transferred on day 3. Three embryos made it to day 5 blasts and were frozen.
I don't remember my full protocol. My stims was 150 iu of Follistim, though.

Yep. I did a long lupron protocol. Started out on 150iu of follistim, and quickly dropped to 75 and then 37.5. Had 40 follicles, but had to coast w/out meds for a few days because I was at risk of hyperstimulating. Retrieved 17 eggs, 14 mature, 11 fertilized and started growing normally... I think?
I did. I was on the antagonist protocol (don't remember the exact meds or dosages) and only had 6 eggs retrieved. I had 3 embryos put back, and one stuck and split into identical twins.
I got PG on IVF # 1 with twins. I had an antagonist protocol. I only had 5 eggs retrieved and only 3 of those were mature and of those only 2 fertilized with ICSI. We did a 3 day transfer and put both back because one was a grade 3 (average) and one a grade 4 (below average). My docs said we might as well put both back because neither embie would make it to day 5 or freeze. They only gave us a 10% chance of getting PG with a singleton and told me to start planning for my next round of IVF. I was devestated! Well 8 days later I got my BFP. At my first u/s at 7 weeks my doc was in total shock when he saw 2 strong heartbeats. He said he would have bet the farm that it was not going to be twins.
Good luck with your upcoming IVF and remember it can happen!

We got pg after IVF #1. I was told that i had 12 follicles but they only retrieved 3 eggs and 2 made it to day 3. they were both 8 cell grade 1/2 and we now have twin boys! Good luck!
I had twins from IVF #1. I had 10 eggs retreived, 9 fertilized and 5 made it to blast. We transferred 3 on day 5 and all three stuck, but we lost a triplet at 9 weeks. I can't remember my exact protocol but I did BCP, lupron, menopur and Gonal F. I stimmed for 9 days. Good luck!!

We did, with ICSI! We had 20 follies, 15 fertilized, 8 were perfect, we put 2 in and froze 6.
I cannot remember the names of all of my drugs anymore, I think I've blocked it from my memory!

Just want to say good luck & stay positive! ?I had 9 failed IUIs prior to my IVF!?
Yes. I don't remember my follie count.
16 eggs
6 fertilized on day one
5 left on day three
We transferred 3 and all of them stuck -- the fact that I have two now has nothing to do with the embie quality or anything.
I did the long lupron protocol (history in blog).
I did. Hmmm let's see if I can remember this....
I did a long lupron protocol and did not use BCP. Stimmed with only Menopur .
13 eggs retrieved
11 mature, 11 fertilized.
2 8-celled excellent quality embryos transferred on day 3.
Good luck!!
