Argh, I started morning injections of 10 units of Leuprolide on Monday (6 days ago) in preparation for our FET in April, and I swear that I cannot sleep anymore! I'm never a good sleeper, but I usually don't have 6-7 nights in a row of waking up at 2am and not being able to fall back asleep. Is this normal? I'm going to call the nurse tomorrow and ask her.
ETA: called RE and got information from them. thanks for your help!
Re: Lupron/Leuprolide and insomnia?
*****ticker warning*****
When I was on lupron for my first IVF, I had insomnia issues due to the lupron, and I'm not one to have problems sleeping. For my current FET, I didn't seem to have as many issues, but I'm quite sure I was on a lower dose. I think my nurse said that it was normal.

are you taking a steriod like dxamethasone or prednisone or medrol as part of your protocol?
i have horrible insomnia during cycles when i take steriod.
if you are on a steriod take it as soon as you wake up with some food to help prevent insomnia

Nope, just leuprolide and birth control (last pill toinght, wahoo!) for the last week.
i would just suggest taking the shot as early as possible and maybe try some meditation or relaxation cd's before bed

Per nurses instructions, I have to take it in the AM, so you'd think by PM it'd be out of my system!
