For me, it would depend on how you want it pronounced, with the ana or anna sound at the end. I'd pronounce both differently.
This. I would pronounce Anna, Ann-ah. Ana I would say as Ah-na
wow... really? we had to consider this too as our name of choice is Brianna, but we say it with Ah-na. for me i felt Briana looked too much like "Brian".
Anyway, onto the original question... i think it looks better with 1 n. i didn't consider pronunciation though. :

I know a Brianna pronounced ah-na. That isn't an uncommon pronounciation. I know 3 Julianas who pronounce their names like -anna. Anna/Ana isn't always pronounced how it looks.

Agreed. My sister is a Briana, but it's bree-ann-ah. She does get bree-ahn-ah a lot though.
I would pronounce the two names in the op differently though...and I would never have thought of the pronunciation mentioned above.

To me, it depends on your pronouciation. I typically think of "-ana" as "ah-na" and "-anna" as "ann-uh". That said, I've only ever seen Oriana before (with the "ah-na").

Very helpful! I hadn't considered the pronunciation issue.
Also - I am a Breanna - has always been Ann-uh. So I think you all are right on the onn vs. ann pronunciation.
