advice for teething

What have you done to "teach" your child not to bite you when nursing?  DS has his two bottom teeth and is working on the top (which are taking a lot longer to cut through than the bottom).  I don't want teething to make me stop BFing, but I've been bit a few times and now I'm nervous when I nurse.  When he did bite me, I made him stop eating and told him sternly "no bite".  Any other thoughts on what to do? TIA!

Re: advice for teething

  • After two bites I pack it up and he is done.  He stopped biting pretty quick when he realized he could not nurse if he did it.  If he bites me now it is usually because he is done and just playing.
