Normal after pap smear?

I had my first workup done today which included a pap smear. I got to hear the heartbeat so I know LO is hanging in there. I did notice a slight tinge of blood on my liner when I went to the bathroom. I'm thinking that's ok since it's very light and more of a brown hue and I have no cramping. Have any of you experienced this? Is it normal?

    I haven't experienced it, but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing multiple times that this is super common. Just like lots of women spot after sex.

    Yes, its normal, my dr actually warns me that light spotting might occur.  I think its because of that stupid swab thing, the skin is very thin and sensitive in there, I always refer to that swab thing as a "mini Brillo pad"!

    Thanks for the info. A big relief. I agree about it being a mini Brillo pad. Sheesh!

    I haven't had any spotting after a pap smear but my OB always warns me that if it happens it is totally normal.

    After my pap the other day my doctor said you have some bleeding which is totally normal after a pap especially when your pregnant. I took his word for it and it stopped and no problem since.

    I had exactly what you experienced at 10 weeks after a pap.  Everything is still fine as far as a I know and it went away.   I do have low-lying placenta too, but it has never caused spotting.  Try not to worry :)
