Re: What's for dinner this week?
pulled pork, baked sweet potatoes, apple/gorgonzola salad
sweet chili salmon, steamed carrots
spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, green salad (*budget saving weekly dinner*)
turkey chili + PB&J sammies (it's a family thing, don't judge it until you've tried it together)
something in the crockpot (I still need to find a recipe that speaks to me)
grilled cheese + soup (*budget saving weekly rotational dinner*)
Mike loves chili and PB&J. And a glass of milk. It's the school lunch special, as he calls it. His family combo is vegetable beef soup and pimento cheese with crackers.
It's also an elementary school cafeteria lunch thing
Oh, my dad does the + milk, too. The REAL question is...does he dip the PB&J INTO the chili? That's what usually sends people reeling.
You should know, Hannah.
Love you, you big-hearted, volunteer-loving fool. BTW - where's that photo I requested?
LOL. Hairnet Hannah. ;-)
Oh, I so need inspiration. Does anyone else go through cycles with cooking? I get all excited to plan meals and try new recipes for a few weeks and really enjoy cooking, then get burnt out and just want to eat out or make easy recipes for a week or two after that. I'm feeling a little burnt out right now. Regardless, here's my plan so far:
Pork tenderloin in the crock pot, rice, salad and a veggie tonight
Ellie and I are attending a birthday party tomorrow afternoon, so I think tomorrow might be a pizza or leftovers kind of night.
The rest of the week:
Asian-glazed drumsticks, brown rice, vegetables, egg rolls
Either Santa Fe enchilada bake or turkey tostadas
Baked lemon pasta with chicken and broccoli, salad
Possibly a crock pot chicken recipe my sister is supposed to send me with dry Ranch mix and sprite that she says is fabulous
I also bought some Mahi Mahi to try this recipe, which I may do Friday.

Saturday is date night! It's our 5 year anniversary!
So jealous, eat lots of Fish and Chips and get a proper Indian/Balti for me!
DH is in Texas all week...I'm thinking I will be having Royal Taj and other assorted take-out while I do a "while you were out" around here.
Not sure the order of which I will make them:
Chicken and White Bean Enchiladas with Creamy Salsa Verde - from skinnytaste
Baked Chicken Parmasean - from skinnytaste
Chicken Curry with Coconut Milk - from skinnytaste
Cincinnati Style Chili (with ground buffalo)
Black Bean Burgers - the BEST veggie burger I have ever eaten
I have a yummy chicken and potatoes recipe for the crockpot if you are interested. Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and it's a keeper!
No idea what to have tonight....would require getting to the store which may or may not happen. But for the week.....
Italian stew, salad, applesauce
4-ways
chicken santa-fe in crock pot, salad
cheese coneys with leftover chili (DS has recently discovered that he likes hot dogs and requested hot dogs for dinner every night this week....HA!)

Kielbasa, potatoes, peppers in some form
tuna and pasta in some form
My meal plan is coming together very slowly this week.
Since we are on baby watch all this week and next, we tried to come up with easier meals:
Baked ziti, garlic bread and salads
Slow cooked chicken paired with tortillas and black beans/rice (made in crock pot)
Sloppy joes, oven fries and steamed veggies
Soup and grilled cheese/baked potatoes
Cheesy herb chicken and brocc/cauliflower rice casserole
