Hi there. Hoping to get a little feedback on my names. You can click the link in my sig to vote. Additional comments and suggestions are welcome.
As far as my naming style goes, I don't want anything super trendy or popular, or "you-neek." I like Biblical names. DH likes surnames as first/middle names as you can see from the list (these names were picked from the list of names we both like, although I'm not sure he's sold on my Scandinavian names and I'm admittedly not sold on surnames as first/middle). Our last name is one syllable and very common (think Smith/Jones, etc). TIA.
Re: Taking an early stab at names
Out of your list I like Gabriel and Gideon but for a first name
Your girl names are NMS but here are some of my favorite girl biblical names:::
Eliora nn Ellie- Hebrew-my god is my light
Halleli (nn halle) -Hebrew- Greatly praised
Selah -Hebrew -Pause and reflect
Thanks for your feedback! I wish I could get DH on board with Gideon for a first name.
Eliora and Selah are new to me, thank you! I like those.

This. However I do like Olson as well.. maybe because it will be my lst name soon
(read it. you know you want to.)
anderson . september 2008
vivian . february 2010
mabel . august 2012
I really like Gabriel Harrison and Bridget Joanna. Great combos.
I was thinking, though, that if you choose a mn that's a surname, to make it a family name. I love Graham, but Olson is a strange fn, but if it was a family name, Graham Olson would be a great combo.
One other thing, was the Virginia Dare name a nod to the real Virginia Dare, a mistake, or a joke? I love Virginia, but the Dare makes me stop and wonder at it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Dare

That's because it's likely named after Virginia Dare, the person: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Dare

i like gabriel and bridget.
other suggestions:
girl: anya, anika, kaja (like mya, but with a "k")
boys: anderson, cooper, carter, sullivan, alexander
For boy names, I like Gabriel and Miles.
The only girl name I like is Josie and I prefer it as a nickname for Josephine. I love the name Josephine!
Oooh I like.
Yes, it is. DH and I are really into early American history (all the better if it involves NC). If that's goofy, though, tell. You won't hurt my feelings. I'd rather you guys tell me it's goofy than have my kid get made fun of. I had a whole slew of historical figure names (not as obvious as Virginia Dare, usually the first name or the last name) but DH shot them down.
LOVE Noah and Caleb.
Oooh I like these, too. I'll talk to DH about Sullivan.
Yep, that's what we would do.
