I have an outside baby!
Alice Elinor was born today at 3:45pm at home all natural. 8lbs 2oz and beautiful. I woke up this morning and my water had broken in my sleep. I had mild contractions until about 1:30 pm. I then went to 1min -1.5 min contractions 2mins apart. I was fully dialated and pushing before 3.
The baby was born and placed right on my chest and it took as awhile to remember to see if it was a boy or girl. My contractions then stopped dead. I was given a couple shots of pitocin to get contractions going to deliever my placenta. This did not work so 1 hour after the birth I was transferred to the hospital. Thank goodness the doctor was able to get the placenta out without having to operate. I had a 2nd tear. We were home before 6:30.
I didn't get to try for a water birth because it all happened too quickly. She is beautiful and fast asleep on my chest. I can't believe I have an outside baby!!

Big congrats on the home birth and the beautiful baby. I'm glad the doctor was able to get the placenta out without any surgery! Looking forward to pictures
