Okay so I'm posting this for Yvette because it's too much of a mission for her to do from her phone.
I will preface the following by saying that she and the baby are both fine!
She woke up this morning to a lot of bleeding. Headed over to l&d and they hooked her up to the monitors and she was having a few contractions.
Ultrasound was done and baby looks good so does her cervix. Its totally closed.
But they have no idea why she is bleeding.
She was sent home and she's on bedrest. She need to go back to L&D tomorrow for another ultrasound and a non stress test.
has anyone ever experienced this? or know anyone who has?
She doesn't think she's bleeding just to bleed. She's 35 weeks, the end is near. She's just hoping to keep her in a little longer.
TIA!
Re: Listen up Mommies, Yvette (FutureHernandez) needs your help....
Thanks for letting us know, I'll be keeping her and her family in my prayers.
I had minor bleeding in the second trimester, but after an ultrasound, they said that I had developed cervical polyps and that's what was causing the light bleeding. If it were fibroids or polyps, they should be able to see them.....I also had placenta previa and I understand that sometimes that could cause bleeding, but if the cervix is closed, could the bleeding come from the uterus? Sorry, just rambling here.

Oh Yvette. So sorry to hear you are going through this stress. Keeping you and baby in my thoughts and prayers. Just wanted to offer some consoling... my boys were born at 35 wks and only required to be in NICU for 1 wk, and due to other issues, not early labor (1) gastritis bc swallowed blood and 2) wet lungs (which occurs commonly in csections)).
But do hope you keep baby cooking a bit longer! ::hugs::

Thanks for posting this Justine. Yvette, you are in my prayers. Please keep us updated. Hoping and praying that baby girl stays in a little longer and that they're able to figure out what's going on.
xoxoxox
Yvette, you guys are in my prayers! ::hugs:: A closed cervix sounds like good news though. When I went to l&d during my 2nd tri they were big on that.
I really hope that everything goes well witht her and the baby,
I will keep her and her family in my prayers.
Finally I can respond!!
Any word today from Yvette???
I'm thinking about you! xoxo
I'm finally sitting in front of a computer! Thank you guys for the thoughts and prayers. Friday was pretty scary! I went back to L&D and they did another NST and ultrasound. Everything came back fine again. The doctor on call wants me to follow up with my ob on Monday. They want to repeat the ultrasound and check if maybe it was a polyp?
Will have her and her baby in my prayers. As for the bleeding, I had placenta previa with Mateo but that was during my 1st and 2nd tri and during that time, I did have bleeding and baby was fine.
