I sort of eliminated it at around 4 months. My pedi said it would be hard to break the habit so therefore I should BF her then dress her and read a story. At that point it was about 30 minutess before bed that she was BF.Now most days she is BF when I get home from work or right after dinner. If I am not around she has milk with dinner. This started at 12 months.
when brushing the teeth becomes a habit that he can/wants to do, then it will stop completely because i want that to be the last thing he does. Now we brush when we do the bath routine but he is not ready for it to stop yet. then we can do a small sippy before bath and cut that out more easily when it's time to potty train
B gets a sippy of milk during his bedtime routine, before having his teeth brushed. I only plan to drop it when he no longer wants it, or it's time to night-potty-train. Judging from where he is now in regards to the potty, that'll be after 24 months, so I chose 24+.

I offer DD a sippy of milk during the bed time routine but not in the bedroom and not to fall asleep. Sometimes she barely drinks any and sometimes she downs it.
Then we brush her teeth, get her cuddle toy and read a few books. I turn out the lights and put her in her crib awake.
DS gets a sippy while we read him stories. I don't have to prepare anything, it's just the sippy he didn't finish at dinner, so I don't see it as a big deal. He doesn't drink that much, and he never took a bottle (BF) so I don't see an issue with doing it this way.

At about 12 months I introduced a short (initially 5 minutes) playtime after the bottle and kept the room bright and non-quiet. The first week was rough but the playtime is now up to 30+ minutes of quiet play (no rough housing, no loud music etc..). This is when we brush teeth also, after the last drink of milk.
SS: DD was drinking from a bottle in the morning and before bed until she was about 14 months, I think? She wouldn't take milk any other way. BUT there were many nights (like 50%) that we didn't give the bedtime bottle, and she still went to sleep no problem.
Also, she fell asleep on her own from 3 months old, so the bedtime bottle didn't put her to sleep. Instead, it just filled her up, so we started giving her a later "bedtime snack" instead.
My DD eliminated it herself, like 2-3 months ago (so around 10 mos.). She just started taking more and more during the day, and less at her bedtime feeding. So I just stopped giving it to her all together and never looked back.
