Have any of you ladies signed up for this or are planning to? Just curious what you think about it. It seems like a good thing, but kinda cautious about government taking $ and DS never seeing any of it. (Kinda like social security... haha)
TIA

I was just looking at this last night. I got a thing in the mail. You're talking about the Life insurance right? I am licensed to sell life insurance as I work for an insurance company, and the plan seems like your basic whole life plan. which is good. I think I might sign up for it since the rates are cheaper than most other companies.
I wish a parent or grandparent would have taken out a life policy for me when I was young as the cash value would have been handy now (for college, house downpayment or other expenses).

No kidding, would have been nice. Thanks for the input!

I have Gerber on all 3 of my kids and the sooner you buy it the cheaper it is! It is a basic whole life plan that is really affordable. And the beauty of this one is it is whole life instead of term and the rates will not go up as long as you pay your premium on time. When your child is an adult they will not find a ins policy that cheap! They can keep that policy, cash it in, or even modify it to suit their needs.I pay mine once a year after I get my tax return and you save a bit of money that way as well. I pay $20 for all 3 kids and I have a peace of mind God forbid I ever need to use it.
Yes plus you're insuring their insurability. Get those life policies now while they're young and perfectly healthy. You can't foresee health issues down the road which could make it impossible or incredibly expensive for Life insurance later.
I'm a huge believer in Life insurance because there are living benefits (like the cash value). Your kids will thank you when they're older and have these policies.
