due in 3 days, haven't felt a single cramp, BH, or contraction

Has anyone else out there gotten to this point without feeling a single cramp of any kind?  I feel movement, and the occasional gas pain, but nothing that feels like a "tightening" of the uterus, and my belly never feels like it's hardened either (except for where her butt or leg is positioned.  

LO has been head-down and very low for weeks now, and the midwives say they think she's ready to go.  They're surprised that I haven't felt anything like a contraction yet, but they aren't concerned.  I've never in my life experienced a menstrual cramp, just the occasional cramp in my calf or ankle.  I wonder if this means my uterus is super weak, or if it means my nerve endings just aren't working properly?  Has anyone else experienced this?

    I never had any contractions until I was induced with DS #1 at 41 weeks.  I didn't have contractions with this one until Monday.  I don't think there's anything wrong with you.  Be glad you're not having contractions.  They're very painful and you hurt even after they're done.

    I was due yesterday and this week I've felt some slight cramps and a couple bh but no real contractions. I'm hoping when I do finally feel them it's the real thing.

    I had some BH here and there when dehydrated earlier in the pregnancy, but no BH or cramps at all in months now - actually aside from bedrest for PIH, I'm feeling great! Bored, but very comfortable... so I've pretty much given up hope of delivering by my due date in 4 days Stick out tongue

    With both of my girls I never felt a single contraction or anything until my water broke 3 days before my due date (and even then - no contractions). 
    DD1 - 12.25.05
    (m/c 1.17.07, m/c 5.15.07)
    DS - 03.15.08

    I had some light BH off and on, but it was only once or twice a week in the last month. The day I was admitted I had a regular OB appointment and my doctor asked me, "did you know you're contracting?" I had no idea, and they were coming every 2mins or so. I hadn't felt any real contractions until they induced me (already 5cm dilated) and used pitocin.

    So, do you think I'm more likely to realize I'm in labor when my water breaks and I'm already pretty far along, or are the two not related?  

    I'm not-so-secretly hoping this means I'll somehow have an "easy" labor, but I'm really trying not to get my hopes up toooo much.  :)

    Your water may not break. I never felt contractions with my son, and ended up being induced 14 days after my due date, with my water never breaking, no mucus plug, no show, nothing. I am now 5 days past due with this one and same exact thing, nothing.

    Yep.  I made it past my due date with out feeling a thing.  I went in for my induction at 40 weeks 4 days and when they hooked me up to the machine I was having time-able contractions and were amazed that I wasn't feeling them.  They observed me for an hour and then went ahead with the Cytotec.

    OP- maybe you have a high pain tolerance and labor will be a breeze?!  GL!

    I am due in 2 days and I have felt nothing.  I had a few BH also when dehydrated about a month ago and then some more when I waited too long to pee (I was trying to hold it until I was at the DR.'s)...but nothing since then.  I have been a little discouraged also.  I am beginning to be convinced that I will be induced.  Going in for an ultrasound on Monday to make sure DD isn't getting too big.  I really want to be a March mommy!

    With DS I didn't feel anything until my water broke the day before my EDD.  This time around I have felt more and it has been psycing me out, but it looks like this little one is coming later than her brother did.

    I didn't feel anything at all until the day I went into labor - at 40 weeks, 2 days. I was sure that my lack of BH, etc. meant that my body just didn't know what to do. WRONG! :) It could definitely still happen for you!
