I am jealous of DH

Please slap me and tell me I am being unreasonable. DH's boss is awesome and is going to let him work from home 3 days a week. I am grateful because that will of course help with daycare costs, but I can't help but be slightly jealous, b/c I won't be able to spend as much time with baby, and am worried the baby will be more bonded to DH than me. Am I bad wife/mother for feeling this way? Slap some sense into me.

    Seriously, I'd be jealous too, but I think your hormones are playing a bigger part in this than you realize. Baby will love you just as much. Dont worry

    How awesome of his boss! But, yes your feelings are totally normal! I would feel jealous too, but you are your baby's mommy! Nothing can replace that :)

    Nope your normal.  My DH is a teacher and will have the entire summer with baby so I am jealous too.  But don't worry you will still bond just as much as DH will.  (I like to remind myself of how many more poopy diapers he will have to change than me...this helps me).

    thanks. you guys made me feel better. And I just talked to Dh and I slightly misunderstood him. He said his boss said he can work 3 days a week. Meaning, he would be with the baby twice a week. Still a sweet deal though! Good point about him changing more diapers, I didn't even think about that! :)

    My husband will be staying at home two-three days a week to take care of our baby.  He's back in school FT to become an elem edu teacher....so even a year from now when he has a teaching job, he'll be off with the kiddo for the summers.  I have to admit, I am kind of jealous.  But I love my work and I can't imagine myself being a SAHM at all!
