Update to Today's the Day

My appointment went really well today. DS is still measuring big, 8 lbs 14 oz, but since it's less than that pesky 9.5 lbs, I don't have anything to worry about right now. My fluid levels are high, but we knew that and they were with DD, too.

The MW I saw today is still super supportive of the VBAC, and suggested pumping twice a day for 10 minutes to try to get my contractions to kick it up a notch, since I have irritable uterus and have been contracting consistently for about two months now. She checked me to try to strip my membranes, but my cervix is funneled, and dilated to a solid 1 on the bottom and still pretty closed on the top. That's still encouraging to me, because even though it means nothing, I had only dilated to half a fingertip with DD before going into labor.

I meet with another OB next week to schedule a c/s, but the MW today said they shouldn't give me any issues about going to 41.5 before having the surgery. She specifically asked an OB about inducing me, but he said with the history I have of super long labor, long time pushing, high fluid, failed vacuum attempts, and OP baby, he was not going to support any type of induction, which really is ok with me.
