How long do you leave LO in crib playing?

I put DD down for a nap over 30 minutes ago.  I hear her talking and playing over the monitor.  GRR I wanted her to nap so we can go run errands afterwards.

How long do you let LO talk/play in crib when they should be napping?  The whole nap time?  Do you get them up and try again later?

    If she is just in there playing I usually leave her for 30 minutes or so and if she doesn't fall asleep I normally get her up.  She just might not be ready for a nap

    Sometimes DS will play for a good half hour before going to sleep.  He loves being in his crib and sometimes won't nap at all, but the quiet time for an hour or so makes a world of difference in his behavior. 

    I let him play for up to an hour and then go get him since the downtime is sometimes all he needs.

    Do you think she might have a dirty diaper?  If DS poops right after I put him down sometimes he won't go to sleep, but won't cry either.

    You all mean to tell me your LO's play in their cribs????????  *jealous*  LO acts like it's the end of the world to just sit in his crib.

    E will play in her crib for 20-30 mins, before actually falling asleep.

    You were right! She had pooped!  Good thing I went in there when I did.  She had her pants off lol!!

    I changed her diaper and now she is happily playing in the living room. Guess she was not ready for a nap.  Bummer, my chores will have to wait!
