Favorite sippy cups?

Hey, all! Looking to get a new sippy cup for the LO.

Thanks!

Re: Favorite sippy cups?

  • I've heard such a variety  DS loved the Nuk trainers but has learned that if he pushes it just right he can use it as a milk squirt gun.  We're trying to find new ones, too.  He's had the best luck with the Nuby cups.  Good luck!

  • I have several different varieties of the Nuby and really don't have huge complaints about them. The only issue we've had is that if they chew on the nipple then it rips and isn't "spill proof" anymore.

  • We tried everything, she used to just chew the nuby and not drink--so I went to a hard spout (playtex brand) and those did the trick, she started drinking great and no more biting.

But every baby is different, you will probably have to just do trial and error

we mostly use these now, and straw sippies. We are done with the spout/traditional sippy style (we didn't use them for long - went from bfing to straw). We also use the rubbermaid litterless juice boxes - especially if travelling or going somewhere for the day, because you can fold down the "straw" and it doesn't leak. We also give her juice boxes (Fruits Plus Veggies brand) in a holder (so she can't squeeze it).

I opened this half expecting it to be a joke. Dang.

Bwahaha! My fave sippy cup is St. Michelle wine...followed by margs...i miss drinkie-poos.

  • Thanks for everyone's input!  I figured I'd cut down on trial and error by asking folks about their experiences...:)
  • the only ones we have found that are spill proof are dr. browns, so we use those for daycare/travel. at home we usually use the take and toss ones

  • We just use the take 'n toss sippy cups anymore.  Cedric loves them, they stack so don't take up much space in the cubord, and clean easily.

  • After much trial and error it was finally cups by the first years.  Now she will drink from those and the munchkin brand.
  • the safe sippy or the gerber graduate ones. that's the only choice we gave her. :)
