Cute idea or kind of lame?

So FIL is getting remarried in June and he wants DS and our 3 yr old niece to release butterflies at the wedding. I'm going to let him do it but I just think it seems kind of silly. What do you all think of this idea?

I think it's cute that your FIL came up with it. Not very often do I hear of men being so involved in wedding planning, and it's thoughtful that he would do something to include the little ones. So yes, I think it's cute!

but i think the butterfly idea is cute, they are just trying to include the little ones.

I have seen video of a butterfly release at a wedding. It is really neat. They are folded into little paper like an accordion.

Really? I've heard of doves but never butterflies. I'm worried my niece will scream bloody murder as bugs tend to scare her.

I was at a wedding once, and they did this. Everyone in the WP got one, there was one child involved. Her's was dead. So when she opened her envelope thingy, it just fell to the ground. She was pretty sad about it, but her uncle distracted her, and covered it with his foot, pointed to another one, and said no, there it goes, it just got a late start. so be prepared for anything.

Yea since I'm preggers I can't get drunk so no one will see the vajazzle. I would find it very entertaining if she screams, lol. She is such a frady cat.
